Manage Networks
Step 1: Access the Network Management Section
Navigate to the “My Cloud” section on your platform and select the “Networks” tab. This section enables you to manage your networks across different zones.
Step 2: Choose Your Zone
Click on the “Choose Zone” dropdown menu to select the geographical location where you wish to create your network. Each zone corresponds to a specific data center location.
Step 3: Select a Network
Select the network you want to manage by clicking on it. This action will open a detailed view of the network settings.
Step 4: Edit Network Settings
In the network details view, you can modify the following settings:
- Network Configuration: Name, IP Address Scope, Subnet Mask, Gateway, DNS Compute Instances, and Description.
- Permissions: Manage user access to the network.
Network Configuration
When configuring the network, you will also be able to assign IP addresses to your Compute Instances and other resources. After selecting the network you wish to manage, a panel will open where you can select and reserve IP addresses for your resources.
Attaching a Network to a Compute Instance
When creating a Compute Instance, you can attach a network to it, enabling the Compute Instance to communicate with other resources within the same network.

Step 2: Select the Network
In the Compute Instance creation wizard, you can choose the network to attach to the Compute Instance. Select the LAN option from the dropdown, then choose the desired network, and finally, select the IP address you want to assign to the Compute Instance.
If you have reserved an NIC address for the Compute Instance, you need to change the configuration of that address to remove the reservation if you intend to use it for the Compute Instance.
