Create a Network

Creating a network within the Cloud platform is a straightforward process that allows you to define and manage network settings such as IP addresses, subnet masks, and gateways for different zones.

You can create a network at any data center location and assign it to your infrastructure. This network can be used to connect your cloud servers and other resources within the same data center.

Limits

Networks can only be created within a specific data center location and cannot be shared across multiple data centers. Each data center location operates with its own distinct network settings.

Step 1: Access the Network Management Section​

Navigate to the “My Cloud” section on your platform and select the “Networks” tab. This section allows you to manage your networks across different zones.

Step 2: Choose Your Zone​

Click on the “Choose Zone” dropdown menu to select the geographical location where you want to create your network. Each zone corresponds to a different data center location.

Step 3: Create a New Network​

Click on the “Create New Network” button located usually at the bottom or top right of the interface. This will open a dialog box where you can enter the network details.

Step 4: Configure Network Settings​

In the “Create New Network” dialog, configure the following settings:

  • Name: Enter a name for your network.

  • IP Address Scope: Choose from predefined scopes or define a custom IP range. For a more detailed explanation of IP Address Scope, click here.

  • Subnet Mask: The subnet mask is automatically generated based on your account settings. You can modify it if needed.

  • Gateway: Select the gateway for your network. You can choose from a range of 255 IP addresses.

  • DNS #1 and DNS #2: Set the DNS servers for your network.

    Common DNS server options include:

    ProviderDNS #1DNS #2
    Google DNS8.8.8.88.8.4.4
    Cloudflare DNS1.1.1.11.0.0.1

  • Description: Provide a brief description of your network for future reference.

Step 5: Save and Deploy​

After configuring all the settings, click the “Create Network” button to save your configurations and deploy the new network across the selected zone. Read more about our global datacneters
