Introduction to Snapshots​

Snapshots are essential for backup and recovery operations in your cloud environment. They capture the current state of your server, allowing you to restore it to that specific point in time. You can have up to 5 snapshots per server, and snapshots are charged at a rate of 0.10 USD/GB/Month, calculated by the minute they are active.

Best Practices for Using Snapshots​

  • Regularly Create Snapshots: Ensure that you create snapshots before significant changes to your server or application to protect against data loss.
  • Monitor Snapshot Usage: Keep track of your snapshots and delete those that are no longer needed to optimize costs.
  • Use Descriptive Names: Name your snapshots descriptively to easily identify their purpose or the state of the server they capture.
